Heaven gained a beautiful soul last night....


I thought about you last night..my sweet friend... I thought that I really needed to call & check on how you were doing.

I received a phone call this morning, saying that you had passed last night.... you took one last shot for the pain & went to sleep.
I am GUTTED... there were /are so many people who love you... you touched so many lives with you beautiful smile & wonderful personality...
You fought a hard hard battle, did everything possible to be here for you sweet little boy but in the end cancer won.
I HAVE to believe that you have gone to a BETTER place... a place with no hurt & where you are looking down watching all of us who knew & loved you...
because this is the only way any of it makes any sense...

God speed love... we will miss you.....

I am deeply sorry for you and for all who loved him, what a gorgeous smile. I lost my mom to cancer on New Years Day, my daughter lost a friend from high school (age 17) in Nov. and my mother in law has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Cancer has impacted my life severely over the last 1.5 years, & just reading your post, brings tears to my eyes. He was so young to be taken away. The numbers dying from cancer is alarming. I'm sending you a huge hug and sending you peace. xx deb

I ♥ Faces -Silhouette... this week is a little different.. we are able to choose one photo to enter... (darn...I had two...) but I think this is my fav.... Eva out at a beach near our home... I love the yellowish clouds & her hair blowing in the wind... She was jumping up & down on the rocks (safety first i n our house...LOL) One of the things I LOVE about Norway are the LONG summer days... this shot was taken about 7 pm... A visit to the ICE AGE....

Sunday... FUN-DAY, Another family day..... Because we had such nice weather, (never knowing how long it will last) we decided to take another family hike.... (2.5 hours....) around the be ach. It is funny, each week, each hike, I see changes in our family....less whining (on my part) & more time learning, enjoying our time together....Bjørn who usually gets irritated with all of my picture taking, is stopping to find things to take pictures of...appreciating colors, nature etc. Dane is less squeamish...touching & picking up all of sorts of things he finds along the hike.... Today we learned about Jettegryter or "Stone Pots" these huge rock formations from the ICE AGE .... pretty cool... these holes are formed by pebbles/gravel being aggitated by water, over thousand of years.... WOW..The holes on our local beach date back to 15,000 years.... the kids had a blast.... & wanted to stay much long
