Playing Hooky....

I was off today...sun was out & I was feeling GOOOD...

so I decided to keep Eva home & play hooky.

We packed a picnic lunch/thermos of cocoa & headed to a little chain of islands not far from our home.

Today was one of those
REALLY
GOOD DAYS...
Thank you baby girl!

OH, what a wonderful day! Life's moments, for sure. She'll remember it forever.

Love that second shot, with the sunglasses; she looks so 'movie star'. And that last one...are you kidding me?!...so. hilarious. How is that even physically possible?? ;D

The first picture of your daughter is precious! I bet she will come to love it when she gets older. Speaking of when she gets older, what a lucky gal that she has you to take pictures of her!! :D

I love it that you gals sometimes play hookey! Eva is too cute, and it looks like you had a great ladies day out! How do you get her to not spill the beans in school the next day?? :-)

My mom used to let us play hookey once a semester. She called it a brain break.

Those stolen moments, are they not the best?! Eva will remember that for always. I am sure I'm not the first to say she is ADORABLE!!!
Awwww! How adorable. She is beautiful BTW. I love it when you get to have those special mommy and me moments.

I really love winter picnics. Something fun I learned in Norway, we didn't do winter picnics in New York, no way! Looks like a great day!

These photos are beautiful -- and I am curious about the chain of islands where they were taken. My paternal grandparents were from the Orkney Islands, which feature an unusual combo of Scottish and Norwegian culture and traditions. Have you been there?
