15 min of fame...Our TV debut... :-)

So remember how I told y'all we were going to get our 15 min of fame?...
Well I guess it is OK to spill the beans now... as we are finished filming the first part of our segment...

Yours truly, plus family are going to be on HGTV's House Hunters International!

Kindda cool eh? -

It was a lot more work than I had anticipated....
We filmed for over 13 hours for about 4 min of FOOTAGE! R U KIDDING ME?

I am a bit nervous about how it will all turn out, because I will admit I CRIED several times during the shoot...
I KNOW... WHAT.A.BABY.
(Have you ever seen an episode of House Hunters where they cry? OMGosh... should be interesting what they end up with..)

I should have warned the producers NOT to ask me how I feel about having to leave my family in America... (here I go again with the big fat tears...)

Dane & Eva did an AMAZING job!
Can you tell I am a proud mamma?

My mamma & daddy being interviewed in front of their house...

My niece Jenna getting in on the filming action... (behind the camera)

the gang hanging out at our old neighborhood swimming pool....
We will be filming the rest of the show at the end of the month here in Norway...
I will keep you all posted.. :-)

That's one of my favorite shows! Looking forward to seeing your episode!
OK...so, who's buying the house? Are they spotlighting a family member who is looking for a house in Norway? Or are they spotlighting you and you're moving to a new home? I'm confused! I love the show and will TOTALLY watch. :)

Interesting how these shows are put together. A friend of mine works as a film extra and he recently spent a month on location working 12 hour days for a scene that lasts about a minute and a half on screen. Consider yourself to have gotten off lucky! :P

Very cool, too bad we don't get the channel here in Norway! You'll have to post a video if it airs online somewhere...it is amazing how easy the tears flow, when I was on Scandinavia's Biggest Loser we all cried like babies, I think it is the intensity of an unreal setting and for us being away from those we love...emotions just seem much more intense when you're being filmed!!!
Hope your private life won't be disturbed by your new found fame!! ;-)) hehehe...

Too cool! They contacted us last year about being on there to represent DK but it was just not the right time for us personally....
now I can live vicariously through your experience!

This may be a stupid question but I'm going to ask it anyway. Didn't you just finish building the house you live in in Norway? Are you moving again? Please help me understand.

I am so excited for you just very confused is all.

Last night I was watching House Hunters International, which is my latest thing, we call it "House Porn" when who should I spy but Tressa.. wait.. Tressa? OMG it's HER! Yeah, that's her daughter Eva! I was so excited I ran over and googled American in Norway and House HUnters and there you were. (Sorry, hadn't read your blog in a while). I had no idea how fake HHI is - I only doubted it was you because I knew you at all because I knew you had been there for years...
I hope you got some money for it.
