American in Norway

march 8 I was sooo thankful for the 2 extra days I received with my parents... but with each phone call "home" to Norway .. I know it is time to get back.. I miss my babies.. it appears the kids aren't the only one missing mom... (honey... it is called W A T E R ... )

Let's just say some people have a weird idea of fun/funny OK - I did giggle , just a little ...

march 6 I THOUGHT I would have to return to NORWAY today... mom & I did our usual, CRYING ALL MORNING.. cried while I finished packing.. cried in the car...cried at the airport.. only to find... lucky for me.. huge snowstorm hit NYC & I was "stranded" for an extra two days with my parents!  YEAH! False alarm.. I didn't have to leave. woo hoo... an extra family night at home... playing games with my parents & baby sister...

4 March Headed to Hobby lobby to look for some WALL ART (I love me some Hobby Lobby) made 2 trips & spent a couple of hours picking out Just. What.I Wanted (what would fit in my suitcase) As she was ringing me up ... She tells me that the 50%off wall Art wasn't THIS wall art ... Doesn't matter that there were signs all over the shelves. Noooo. Sometimes Hobby Lobby you downright Suck!

No matter how long I am away, some things never change . Amazing how we can cover 6 months in just a few hours. We laughed, we cried - we drank wine Dinner with my girlfriends

SO the reason behind my surprise visit.. was the surprise party for my mom & dad's 50th wedding anniversary. with children all over the world.. it ain't easy.. but we managed. I am so proud to have you.. (mom & dad) as my parents.. and if my children love & respect Bjørn & me half as much as we love & respect you... I would say we have done alright. Happy 50th mom & dad! the girls. :-)

28 feb Headed home... to the US..  (yippee) nothing like a 6 am flight on an icy morning. Thank goodness Oslo's airport is best in the world in deicing their planes. my mom is going to be sooo surpised! <3>

This was going to be one fun filled  - surprise filled week at home. On Thursday I surprised mom ... she thought I was in Paris..hehehe..   On Friday .. my baby sister was able to reschedule her ultrasound.. so that I was there when they found out the sex of her first baby..  SURPRISE... it's a GIRL!  xoxoxo Summer vacation is already planned 2 weeks before-2 weeks after her due date. No way I would miss the arrival of our little princess.

26 feb End of the day.. & I had not managed to get my shot. But here is a little glimpse of our home town

feb 25 Couple of weeks ago I snapped a picture of the moon from my back deck..  it came out PRETTY DARN good ( if I do say so myself) Soooo easy... & I started thinking of all of the night shots I would begin taking...    My cousin tipped me off to the full moon a 'comin  ... Perfect Grabbed my camera.. & wen out on our top deck.. ready to get something AH-MAZING. only to be disappointed. BLOB after blurry BLOB I shot away.. Even went as far as IMing my friend on facebook who is a professional photographer to ask him what I was going wrong.  :-( Turns out I don't have half of the cool equipment to take a really great shot.. after probably 750 shots... this is what I got.. not bad but  looks like I will going back to the drawing board.
