American in Norway

I love taking pictures... something about walking around with a camera in hand gives me peace. & ONE of these days.. I will invest in a nice LENS, a photo editing program, & a course on how to take  REALLY GOOD PICTURES. But in the meantime, I am happy that people like my photos.. you should see the smile on my face when people like my pictures on Facebook & share them.. Means even more when I can help inspire others with their creative talent. A dear friend of mine wrote this poem the other night after I posted these pictures on Facebook & I just wanted to share..  No matter where Be it gloom or glee Goals afar or fears a’near Alone you will never be. Thank you friend! 

Did you know Demi Moore has launched a Make up line? Did you know that I hung out with Demi Moore this summer?  - No? Well I did... cause I am pretty cool like that & a HUGE name dropper.. (sorry about the iPhone quality...) Demi & I in Stockholm this summer... Oh, that's not me on stage with her.. that was ME taking the picture.  ya, well OK.. granted the room was pretty big & she didn't know I was there...  I saw her.. only wish she had seen me... I knew I should have brought my American flag to wave around.. - & someone's shoulders to carry me... (sound like a crazy stalker much? )   - Even though she didn't see me.. I am pretty sure she HEARD me... She asked the CEO when ORIFLAME would be coming to North AMERICA? ... -I started SCREAMING " WOO HOO... I'll go open the office for Y'ALL!  PICK ME; PICK ME"... It was about that time they escorted me away from Ms. Moore..  :-) This summer while...

I woke with a heavy heart this morning... I have had a heavy heart since the shootings on Friday... but I have tried to shake it & get on with life.. whilst trying to be just a wee bit kinder.. understanding.. patient.. But this morning as I rolled over and made the mistake of checking Facebook... (yes.. I am that horrible person with a smartphone on my nightstand) it just CLICKED for me... The horror of the shootings at Sandy Hook on Friday is horrible... what is also horrible is the fighting going on FACEBOOK  back and forth..back and forth... guns.. no guns.. guns.. no guns... My very wise 13 year old asked over dinner this evening.... "why are they fighting over gun control in the US? - shouldn't they be thinking about the victims of this horrible tragedy right now?" "Yes.. my darling.. they should. .- they should be thinking of the victims.. and how we can all do something to make the world just a little bit better place....
