American in Norway

march 12- 365-71 new shirt from the US... ready for school my little abercrombie  & fitch chic. march 13 365-72 kinda like Friday night lights.... but NOT. Wed. night soccer field.  told you most days aren't very exciting... :-)  march 14 365-73 another day in the office... thank goodness I love my job.. nothing like a little coffee & Oriflame tender care in the morning. :-)  march15- 365-74 What a week... Eva wasn't the only one who passed out early on a Friday night.. 

feb 27 Just another day in the ORIFLAME office in Oslo.  :-)

Today was my first day back in the city.... it was surreal... I wasn't sure what to expect...  but found out quickly that my normal parking garage was closed because it is so close to the court house... Today Anders Behring Breivik had his first court hearing... I watched out of my office window, looking at all of the reporters waiting for him It just felt like a HEAVY day...ya know? Waiting for the mass murderer to drive down the street... and the non stop rain... Made for a very long afternoon. When I left the office I was exhausted...WORN OUT... these past couple of days as been a lot...on EVERYONE... Before picking up my car.. I decided to walk down to the church.... There were make shift shrines EVERYWHERE... I have never seen so many people on the streets of Oslo.... in the rain... No one talking... just reflecting... I am glad I took the walk before heading home...  there was a sense of solidarity... This afternoon not only Norway... but Scandinavia sto...

Guess who's coming to town? Obama WOW...the surprise that went around the world today. never mind politics, I am just excited that the President of the United States is coming to Oslo... I am excited for my children.. kinda like both of their worlds are meeting for the rest of the world to see & have already decided to take them down to Oslo for the big day... Are you wondering WHY the Nobel Peace prize is handed out in Oslo & not in Stockholm with the rest of the prizes? The reason why Norway distributes a part of the prize is that at the time of Alfred Nobel's death, Norway and Sweden were joined together in a personal union known as the Swedish-Norwegian Union . [3] [4] (ya, I totally had to look that up, but at least I am learning something everyday...) Gonna leave you with my Favorite Norwegian band at the moment...
