American in Norway

I wish this would be a lovey post.. & what was received in the kisser.. was a kiss. Sadly.. it was not..   :-( Baby girl had a sledding accident.. fell off her sled & right into a rock.  (yes while mommy was in Stockholm no doubt.) HELLO ROCKY! Bjørn sent me this photo during my meeting.. pretty much everything I could do not to fall apart.. She is doing fine,, but this girl of mine.. sigh.. not sure what I am going to do with her!

Monday morning .. bright & early.. I should really think about getting an apartment there! I LOVE Stockholm & sure I would love it even more if I had the chance to get out & see more of it..  After a long day at the office.. we headed to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants Belgobaren Belgian restaurant  with 300 draught beers and Belgian cuisine.

I haven't forgotten you.. and I haven't given up.. I have been taking pictures ALLLLL week.. let the posting begin.. As promised.. Saturday was CRAZY.. my day started at 6 am.. we started our run through for our ORIFLAME KICK OFF show at 7am. I managed to get on stage & do my presentation in front of almost 500 Scandinavians.. gulp. My region did an fantastic job.. and I finally made it to bed 4:30 Sunday morning... (yes.. I am far too old for this...) Here are some photos from my Scandinavian Star Studded Saturday. (Added  discription for all of you non Scandinavians...) Oh how I wish I had some amazing photos to share for my 365..   but unfortunately my life isn't always beautiful sunsets at the beach... I usually stop taking pictures when I think it might get boring for ya'll.. but I am going to keep plugging away.. and perhaps towards the end of the week..  things might get a bit more interesting.. (here is hoping!)  had I thought I might see a sunbeam.. somewhere.. I would have left the house.. but it has been drab and grey.. winter BLUES... so I continued to plug away on preparing my presentations for Stockholm. if you couldn't tell.. I am obsessing a wee bit about this trip. I am going to have to do a presentation in front of several hundred Norwegians & Swedes.. in Norwegian..  and I am kind of making my self sick...worrying about it. but all I can do is be well prepared right?  I started packing today.. for my trip Thursday.  No matter how well prepared I THINK am.. ...

So pick up where I left off... here  is the rest of our year in  review.. JULY-   our long awaited trip "home" to the USA.. woo hoo.. & WHAT a trip home it was... the day after we arrived , my cousin just happened to be in the Kansas City area... - we haven't seen each other in 17 years...  (I know..how sad is that? )   But after years of chatting on FB.. we were finally able to get our children together.. what an AWESOME reunion! 2 days after landing... we did a major road trip down to TEXAS... where there were even more reunions! Michele.. one of my BEST FRIENDS in the entire world... Mich & I have been friends since 4th grade.. we backpacked across Europe as college students.. worked on cruise ships together... and she was my maid of honor..  - no matter how much time and distance.. things between us never change... Kids finally made to a REAL ranch with real cowboys.. finally made it to ...

I am a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Blogger.  I miss my dear blog I really do.... Every once in a while I will pop by...(with the intention of writing something)  & read a couple of old posts... or look at some pictures of the kids... Makes me sad I don't have the time to blog on a regular basis... STOCKHOLM was AMAZING-.... I could TOTALLY live in that city...  I have been to Stockholm before but never with a bunch of SWEDES.. Even MORE fun... During my 2 days in Stockholm... I went to the Corporate Office.... I met the CEO.  I had lunch with the Nordic director... I went to our "concept store" .... was invited to the company SUMMER Party...  with the most amazing VIEW...  (Managed to pull a few outfits together... - thank you for all of your help.!) MY FABULOUS COUNTERPART  <----     from Bergen... I went on a tour of the factory... where they make most of the bath products... HEAVEN... Love the expr...
