Week in review..drinking,dancing & singing ABBA

Last weekend was FABULOUS..... The party was a blast...there was drinking, dancing & a lot of ABBA singing... (I did more of the drinking & less of the singing...) An awesome group of women from all over the world... we had ladies from India...Belgium..America,Britian & Norway ... & I am sooo happy to have met them... Finally, I feel at home.... (I promised myself I would NEVER call Norway home...) There are a lot of us expat women who feel that way.... Seeing this group of women & how happy & how much FUN they have together... Just assured me... that I CAN have all of the things that I have been missing from the states... Girlfriends who do lunch, weekends away... people who will have my back if I need them.... they are the kind of friends who I feel like I could call in the middle of the night if need be.... I have really been missing that.... The rest of the week has been spent WORKING...& getting my babies from one activity to another.. & a ho

Y'all... I got nothing...

OK actually I still have T O N S of things to write about... it is just the lack of motivation.... So I have bad news... & good news..... The bad news? I was laid off because of the Giant Ash cloud.... The Good news? I am back to work tomorrow... Ash cloud has passed & Tressa still has a job... Yes, in Norway they can lay you off for just a day... or a week ..or a month... Not sure if they do that in the states.... But basically I spent my one day being "laid off" in the unemployment office... just in case... But the line was soooo long... I said screw it, & went shopping instead. (Thank goodness I am going back to work....) What else have I done in my free time? Not clean the house, Not find a replacement for the broken counter/sink... not anything I should have... I did go to lunch with my American girlfriends... sigh... it almost felt like I was home... Speaking of... just a few short weeks & I will be in the Good Ol ' U S ofA .... woo hoo . Thi

Oi! WHAT A WEEK....

Oi! WHAT a WEEK! Really... I started my post about Dublin last weekend... As I was typing... I heard a SCREAMING from behind our house... Dane ran in & told me a little girl from his class had fallen 3 meters out of a tree & landed on her head.... the ambulance was on its way... the ambulance decided because it was a head injury, they didn't want to take any chances were going to lifeflight her to Oslo... Helicopter on its way.... landing basically in our back yard..... Little girl is doing fine... suffered a concussion & broken arm... Tuesday morning... as I was awaken to what sounded like my house crashing down around me.... Luckily it wasn't... just the bathroom.. Our sinks/cabinet used to look sorta like this.... After Dane dropped a bottle of perfume... it now looks like this.... the glass counter top/sink SHATTERED in a million gazillion pieces.. (despite what it looks like in the picture, the bathroom WAS clean) & FINALLY... that little Volcano y'all
