march 16  between birthday parties & swim team I managed to get out and take some photos about town.. I love finding new things.... in areas I walk past.. yet never take the time to look around.

Feb 22,2013 Driving around our little town.. when I realize I hadn't taken my daily photo.. Thank goodness I always have some sort of camera with me.. I am so happy I decided to give the 365 another try.. I find myself always looking for things which I think beautiful. I never fully appreciated our tiny little town and the beauty which is all around. even on a dark winter night.

So we have a visitor from the U.S.... Kat's daughter sent Flat Stanley for a little visit to Norway.... (Flat Stanley is such a GREAT idea...) WELCOME TO NORWAY STANLEY! Dane & I decided to spend the day showing Stanley around.... (I spend so much time MOANING about not being in the U.S. - I forget about all of the really cool things that are practically in our back yard.... First stop on today's tour... Begby Helleristninger Begby's Major rock carving site. About 3,000 years old, (Bronze Age)with clear, well-defined carvings showing varied motives, among them ships with prows in animal shapes and a large human figure. Many of the carvings have symbolic religious significance. COOL.. NO ? I have driven past this site for over 4 years & never stopped to see what it was... OK, WOW.. I always feel bad when I bitch about my life... where I live (post below)... I do know that I am blessed.. I started trying to think about the positives to living here... & I would have to say the 2 cuties above. This is their home...they love it here... they love their friends, schools, rooms.. and they will grow up having a hometown. Which is something I did not. I moved all over the place... I was often asked if we were part of the witness protection program, because we moved so often (dad was a big corporate guy) ... really ...what kid has to go to 3 different high schools --- That sucked. When people ask where I am from in the states... I usually tell them Texas...but in all actuality I ended up living in Kansas City, longer than Houston. My home in the US is where ever my parents are. Despite all of the cool places I have lived, worked traveled...I have missed having a place to call home... Although I think Fredrikstad is on the boring side...my kids love it here & th...
