American in Norway

Day 2 of the A-Z challenge...  todays letter is B.. B is for BEAUTY Beauty is a BIG part of my job.. I work for a large Scandinavian Cosmetics/Skin Care company as a sales manager. I LOVE my job... .. if you were going to create a job JUST for ME.. this would be it. I love people.. I love make up & I love to travel... which I do often with my position. the challenge is to find the PERFECT balance between HOME and WORK.. sigh.. which I work on every day. B is also for BJØRN.. my Norwegian husband (Bjørn means BEAR in English) with really BLUE eyes ... and B is for our BILINGUAL.. Babies We have traveled to several places which begin with B... such as Bulgaria..Burma, Barbados,Bangkok  and Belize.. but not sure where I have those pictures saved.. :-)  So I will have to re post our pictures from BERLIN. B is for BERLIN Did I mention that I once lived in Burlington IA? ..

Yea! Another excuse to post tons & tons of pictures from our summer holiday... Sorry to all of my regular readers... I know y'all have seen most of the pictures... I will try to keep our 7 countries in 14 days BRIEF.... In 14 fun filled days we managed to hit....Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg , France, & Holland... WE had a B L A S T... We learned a lot about history, geography, culture & each other.... We the NON-camping family... camped for 2 weeks & made it without TV & the Internet ... . WOW!! EVA at the Berlin Wall Dane at Mozart's birth home...in Salzburg , Austria ...

I have been writing my blog -in - my- head- for the past two weeks.... but when it comes down to it...eek...where do I start? Break it down day by day?-- a list of do's & don'ts or just lots & lots of pictures? OK--- Let me just start by saying I am sooo very proud of myself & my non camping family.... WE MADE IT. We actually camped 10 out of the 14 days away... I had a blast... & except for being cold...(FREEZING my tail off... I loved it.) The camping grounds we found, by pure LUCK were awesome... the ones in Northern Germany were the best... & I would do it all again. What I learned this trip.... We are NOT ready to sign up for a stint on the "Amazing RACE".. -although I am sure we would make for some pretty fun/pathetic TV. We would lose on the first leg... My children ROCK! We CAN live without TV/Cell Phones/ Internet for 2 weeks. traveling with your family...children..husband is NOT the same as backpacking with your girlfriends when yo...

First... Awwwww... Thanks for all of the bloggy L O V E ... I wasn't in so much in a funk because of not having any more babies... not really sure why or what it was.... maybe it IS because I was outside doing summer stuff.... I dunno... but looks like I am back on the horse... So I thought I would share the "plan" - which isn't really a plan because we are going to "WING" it R I G H T? Eeek.... It will be interesting to see what we actually end up seeing/doing..... The thing I LOVE about living in Europe is that you are only a car ride from pretty much EVERYTHING... Granted my idea of a car ride may be different than most American's.... I grew up in TEXAS... so a "road trip" to Grandma & Grandpas was a mere 17 hours in the car... STRAIGHT ...through Texas.... Oklahoma... Ill... (I usually konked out by then... or mom & dad drugged us so we would all stop whining" HOW MUCH LONGER....." Point being... I grew up with 8 hours mi...

Friday Foto Fiesta.. THE BERLIN WALL..... It's Friday, It's Friday, Thank Goodness it's Frid ay!!!
