American in Norway

This weeks theme at iheartfaces is DRAMATIC Black & white... we don't even have to show a face.... : ) This is a photo from a mountain top in Austria... difficult to see, but Dane is holding his little sister to peak through a telescope... I loved the sun peaking through the storm clouds... & the cross... seemed so perfect for the Easter Holiday

This week at i heart faces it is all about angles.... I didn't have a particular photo in mind but I stumbled upon this on of Eva from last summer... This is one of those "sleeper photos"... I didn't really look at the photo until I was looking for an angle.... then I fell in LOVE with it.. I love her hair...her eyes... the trees... sigh I am sooo READY for SPRING & sun dresses again. head on over to iheatfaces & see who else is playing this week..!

This weeks theme is KISSES... I have lots of kisses with Bjørn my husband... but I kept coming back to this photo from last week. Eva has ALWAYS been my little smoocher ... but all of a sudden, I have to beg & steal her kisses... & she thinks it is the FUNNIEST thing ever... This week at i heart faces, the theme is MY STORY... places I love. YEA! To save y'all 20 something years of pictures, I am going to skip to the romantic part... to the part where my viking asked me to be an American in Norway... : ) I met Ol'Blue eyes aka my Norwegian Viking Bjørn while we were sailing on Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas... This was our first "home". I still get "homesick" for Cruise Ships... I love being on the water...no matter how small the boat. We bought our first real home in Norway but after a year on land we felt the need to go back to Sea... where we moved on to Seabourn's SPIRIT..... This is outside of Santorini ,Greece still one of my FAVORITE islands... I was the crew purser. Budapest... backpacking with girlfriends AFTER I had my kiddos St. Petersburg , Russia one of my all time FAVORITE cities ROME ROME ROME.. nice thing about moving back to Europe... only a few short hours to some of the most romanti...

This weeks theme is T E X T U R E .... I wasn 't going to play, cause texture?... thats way over my head... I don't have any " actions ".. heck , I'm not even sure what an "action" is... : ( BUT ... I do want to learn ... You know what they say ... " if you are going to run with the big dogs , you have to get off of the porch ..." So this is ME ... getting off of my porch ... ( early even ... hmmm ) My mother sent Eva colored bath tablets from America ... WOW ... she thinks they are the COOLEST ever ... ( mom , were almost out ... please send more! : ) I loved the color & the TEXTURE in the water... ( see how I fit that in there ?) I am a little early , but here is hoping they won 't mind over at I ♥ Faces , go on over & check them out .

It is SILLY face week at I ♥ Faces I REALLY REALLY wanted to refrain from using another HOT LIPS picture..but I just could NOT resist.... Look at these cute SILLY little girls... My mom sent over these wax lips from the states for Eva's Birthday party... the kids LOVED them...heck I love them... I am going to wear mine when I go shopping.... Yea! Another excuse to post tons & tons of pictures from our summer holiday... Sorry to all of my regular readers... I know y'all have seen most of the pictures... I will try to keep our 7 countries in 14 days BRIEF.... In 14 fun filled days we managed to hit....Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg , France, & Holland... WE had a B L A S T... We learned a lot about history, geography, culture & each other.... We the NON-camping family... camped for 2 weeks & made it without TV & the Internet ... . WOW!! EVA at the Berlin Wall Dane at Mozart's birth home...in Salzburg , Austria ...

Y'all know how I am totally into I ♥ Faces... I play almost E V E R Y week... not inhopes of winning... although that would be nice... but for the LEARNING... I learn something new each week I play. Everytime I post a picture, I THINK I am SATISFIED... until I start looking at some of the other entries... & then I want to KICK MYSELF... I coulda, shoulda woulda.... This week was no exception... I started thinking how I could have made my pictures better.... I like the hint of color... which I SHOULD have had in my entires... OH WELL... here is crossing my fingers they do a sepia week again sometime.... I started playing today & this is what I came up with... This is the neighbor baby... which I could just EAT UP.... I love her chubby cheeks, dimples & that square jaw line... These pictures remind me of something from the 1950's... I thought this little girl's eyes were almost brown... until I kept the eyecolor & added the sepia.... ( I didn't alte...

This would be Eva's 4th birthday last year.... She LOOKS like a little princess... but really is ALL BOY.... I tried to get her to have a Hello Kitty or Princess party...
