The theme over at Communal Global's Tuesday around the world its SCENT... as in what's your? - (cause we are nosey like that... - we wanna know what y'all smell like... - OR you can post a picture of your FAVORITE scent... babies?Fresh cut grass?)
Mine? Well I am a GUCCI girl... I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent... I would BATHE in it if my family would let me.....



Gucci II is a soft, fruity floral that sparkles with notes of mandarin, blackcurrant, violet, and blackberry, smoothed with jasmine, heliotrope, and cedarwood. Playful, yet elegant.

I love the scent of evergreen trees in the sun.

Finding the perfect scent or perfume for me is an eternal quest. Every time I'm at an international airport (and I've spent a scary percentage of time there to the point that airports feel like home in some ways...) I forage the perfume stores in search of the elusive scent.

Only three different ones at a time, or the nose goes cranky, and possibly my seat mates as well.

I don't put them on the little sample sticks because the scent always changes on my own skin.

Many trials later I still haven't found one that is really ME. Perhaps something in my skin corrupts or adulterates the chemicals.

Gucci sounds lovely though. Will try soon at Amsterdam Airport.

I might just have to go smell some perfumes now that you've shared this. Haven't done that in a long time and have never smelled that one that I'm aware.

I love to wear Bath and Body's Japanese Cherry Blossom lotion or spray. Yaya's foster mom wore it and when we first met Yaya it's how she smelled. So much for the smell of baby lotion. It's now a scent that makes me happy and remember those first special moments with my baby to be.

I ♥ Faces -Silhouette... this week is a little different.. we are able to choose one photo to enter... (darn...I had two...) but I think this is my fav.... Eva out at a beach near our home... I love the yellowish clouds & her hair blowing in the wind... She was jumping up & down on the rocks (safety first i n our house...LOL) One of the things I LOVE about Norway are the LONG summer days... this shot was taken about 7 pm... A visit to the ICE AGE....

Sunday... FUN-DAY, Another family day..... Because we had such nice weather, (never knowing how long it will last) we decided to take another family hike.... (2.5 hours....) around the be ach. It is funny, each week, each hike, I see changes in our family....less whining (on my part) & more time learning, enjoying our time together....Bjørn who usually gets irritated with all of my picture taking, is stopping to find things to take pictures of...appreciating colors, nature etc. Dane is less squeamish...touching & picking up all of sorts of things he finds along the hike.... Today we learned about Jettegryter or "Stone Pots" these huge rock formations from the ICE AGE .... pretty cool... these holes are formed by pebbles/gravel being aggitated by water, over thousand of years.... WOW..The holes on our local beach date back to 15,000 years.... the kids had a blast.... & wanted to stay much long
