London cont...

So London , was pretty.much. PERFECT LOVE that city! And so did Dane...   Just like Cat's in the Cradle.. "My boy was just like me... " Without a doubt, my boy has inherited my wanderlust for sure. He wanted to see everything.. in just two days..  I did the best I could. From the moment we got off of the plane.. we were impressed with the kindness... English people are sooo nice & friendly & POLITE... sigh- we miss that. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words... Enjoy! We stayed in Bayswater area.. ADORABLE area.. clean & we felt safe wondering around at night.. Our first morning there we wondered the streets to find a little breakfast.. We found a tiny tiny... little cafe... Cafe Roma which didn't look like much from the outside...but inside.. a hidden little gem... :-) when I say tiny... I mean it... but it ran like a well oiled machine FRIENDLY, HELPFUL staff... awesome food at a great price... ...

A peak at our London trip...

Happy 17th of May. THe day started out WET & MISERABLE with all of the children ending up like drowned rats.... but as soon as the parade was finished... the sun came out... (of course!) Here are my little drowned rats... We had a delicious breakfast with family where I ate my weight in berries & cakes... Now it is time to throw the last bits in to the suitcase & head out to the airport with my darling boy... & spend his last few days of being 12, running around London... Jeg gleder meg..... (I am looking forward to it...) Try to post pictures as we go along... :-)

This time each year, life gets a little crazy.... this year is no exception. On Thursday, we celebrate 17th of May... National Day of Norway.... there will parades, carnivals, family dinners...  it is a day of GO GO GO.... To make it even MORE hectic, Dane and I are going to skip town right after the morning parade & family lunch.. and take off to LONDON ... My BABY boy is turning 13 next week... ( how can I be the mother of a teenager?) I really wanted to do something special with him... So we are taking off with another of Dane's friend (who also has a birthday) & his mom... and the 4 of us are going to paint the town red... Wish us (the mom's) luck. Hope y'all are having a FANTASTIC week...

Busted....

As I was sitting with my boss a couple of weeks ago, discussing blogs I would like to do product reviews for us- He causually mentions a little blog called... "American in Norway".. Gulp.. With my face going red, and a nervous giggle... "How did you find it" as my mind raced through some of my better posts such as... Hooker Boobs, hungry butts, and a painful 15 min. of fame. Gooood Lord almighty! I am such a &!@€%# idiot sometimes. Hello? What did I expect, writing about press launches & company trips? Sure enough, it was our PR Company who found my blog. My boss had a nice little chuckle.. I mean, not like I have ever written anything bad... I love my job .. But now I am not sure where I go from here. I am sure there is nothing on this blog that would shock or surprise him. I am the same in real life as I am on my blog... Trying to get my groove back- Know what I mean? ;-)
