Kansas City... here we come..

We have made it...  finally "home" after almst 23 hours traveling..
We were met at the airport by these cuties..

All of the kids friends showed up at the airport at 10:30 at night to welcome Dane & Eva home..

We are so blessed...

So vacation has finally started for us.

It is so nice to be home..

Hi..was just getting ready to blog about House Hunters Internation in Norway when, in searching for a photo, I came upon your blog. I'm glad (I think) to hear that you were coached to say the garbage disposal thing. As to air conditioning...I've spent a lot of time in Stockholm (I own a Swedish shop..Klaradal) and my husband and I always comment that these Scandinavians need to recognize the fact that they need air conditioning! We stayed at a little resort in southern Sweden that, in addition to no AC, had windows that did not open. We had to sleep with our doors open...in the wilderness..at a hotel that catered to bachelor parties. Anyway...Your photos are stunning and since I just joined your site and curious what your job is. Sounds like you rep for some kind of spa product..is it approved for the states? I might like to sell in my shop!

Home, isn't it great to see old friends! Our family had just finished watching the episode of House Hunters and, yes, I told them you got hosed by the editing and about the stupid/mean reaction of the haters. They really enjoyed your story, and taped it too so now we finally get to see it too!
Hope your time home is fabulous and restful and all you want it to be.

Hey you, Hungry butt!!!! .... First thought that played through my mind as I stood behind the woman in the GREY SWEATPANTS in line at the post office..... Hungry Butt is what my little sister & her friends say when referring to what in my day, was called a WEDGIE ..... I ♥ Faces -Silhouette... this week is a little different.. we are able to choose one photo to enter... (darn...I had two...) but I think this is my fav.... Eva out at a beach near our home... I love the yellowish clouds & her hair blowing in the wind... She was jumping up & down on the rocks (safety first i n our house...LOL) One of the things I LOVE about Norway are the LONG summer days... this shot was taken about 7 pm... A visit to the ICE AGE....

Sunday... FUN-DAY, Another family day..... Because we had such nice weather, (never knowing how long it will last) we decided to take another family hike.... (2.5 hours....) around the be ach. It is funny, each week, each hike, I see changes in our family....less whining (on my part) & more time learning, enjoying our time together....Bjørn who usually gets irritated with all of my picture taking, is stopping to find things to take pictures of...appreciating colors, nature etc. Dane is less squeamish...touching & picking up all of sorts of things he finds along the hike.... Today we learned about Jettegryter or "Stone Pots" these huge rock formations from the ICE AGE .... pretty cool... these holes are formed by pebbles/gravel being aggitated by water, over thousand of years.... WOW..The holes on our local beach date back to 15,000 years.... the kids had a blast.... & wanted to stay much long
