I'm S I C K...

Not sick like CRAZY..(maybe just a little)

But sore throat...fever...just M I S E R A B L E ...

& my darling husband spent last night trying to convince me that I could be the first case of SWINE FLU in Norway.... (yes, I married him for his charming personality...)

"Thanks Honey" as I coughed & sneezed at all over him...(cause if I am going down...so is he!)

So how about this SWINE FLU? (not thinking I have it... I am not that big of a hypochondriac...)

It is really scary though isn't it? Every morning I flip on the news to see how many more cases have been reported... where it is moving...

This week cases reported in Spain & today Germany... Here is hoping none of you/us will be affected...

Latest news I heard indicates confirmed cases in Mexico just 26, with 7 deaths. The 159 others have not been confirmed as having the swine flu (or whatever the World Animal Organisation want us to call it - lol). 64 cases confirmed in the US. Sounds like it's not as bad as first indicated.

You've probably just got the regular flu :-)

Feel better! The swine flu is bad down here--they shut down an entire school district! Everyone's freaking. It's because we're only 100 miles from Mexico...

Hmmmmm with summer holidays coming up and plans for my kids to fly down to SA and Spain - I'm now getting a little uncomfortable. Airports are such a hotbed for germs.

I would not panic about this swine stuff. Just take care of yourself. Get rest, eat healthy, drink lots of good liquids. Take over the counters if needs be. But, rest. Stay HOME until you are well again.

Get well soon and I hope the rest of your family stay healthy, too.

Oddly enough since I only 6 miles from the US/Mexico border we're not panicking. We're being cautious but not panicking.

Remember that some strains of flu have killed over a million people - the Hong Kong flu a few years ago, for example. And that a normal flu kills about 200,000 thousand or so every year... so relax! It's not stupid pigs, but stupid media for hyping it all up!!

Swine flu thing really is kind of unnerving. We live in Oklahoma. One of the girls in my daughter's class was gone last week. Returned yesterday. Told everyone in the class she'd been to Mexico. My reaction: unnerved. I know they are checking people returning to the U.S. from Mexico at the airports. I just hope it all turns out all right. All we can do now is wait and see. Hope nobody gets sick.

US Homeland Security says "Don't worry about a thing." Vice Prez said this morning to stay off planes, trains and other Mass transit. and House Leader says she'd lock her family up if she could. No Travel..Have lst case in Platte Co.(Parkville) They are handing out pamphlets on the borders. Get yourself checked, stay home from work.. luv ya

my son has a cough and runny nose. the first thing i think of is swine flu. naw...it couldn't be plain old allergies, right?!

We had a school shut down a few days ago. It seems that the Swine Flu, while getting a lot of media hype, is really just a bad flu. For those worried, I'd just protect yourself the same way you do when a bad flu is rolling through town. I think the elderly and the very young should be protected, just as they should when flu is around.

I hope you feel better! Sverre didn't want me to come to CA when this whole Swine Flu thing started...I told him it was either death by Swine Flu or death by Mom, so I had to choose wisely.

I'd rather take my chances with the flu.

after spending my morning at a meeting discussing the possible closure of the school district and their pandemic emergency plan... I've obviously not been freaked out enough about this swine flu.

and we're HUNDREDS of miles from the nearest confirmed case.

I ♥ Faces -Silhouette... this week is a little different.. we are able to choose one photo to enter... (darn...I had two...) but I think this is my fav.... Eva out at a beach near our home... I love the yellowish clouds & her hair blowing in the wind... She was jumping up & down on the rocks (safety first i n our house...LOL) One of the things I LOVE about Norway are the LONG summer days... this shot was taken about 7 pm... A visit to the ICE AGE....

Sunday... FUN-DAY, Another family day..... Because we had such nice weather, (never knowing how long it will last) we decided to take another family hike.... (2.5 hours....) around the be ach. It is funny, each week, each hike, I see changes in our family....less whining (on my part) & more time learning, enjoying our time together....Bjørn who usually gets irritated with all of my picture taking, is stopping to find things to take pictures of...appreciating colors, nature etc. Dane is less squeamish...touching & picking up all of sorts of things he finds along the hike.... Today we learned about Jettegryter or "Stone Pots" these huge rock formations from the ICE AGE .... pretty cool... these holes are formed by pebbles/gravel being aggitated by water, over thousand of years.... WOW..The holes on our local beach date back to 15,000 years.... the kids had a blast.... & wanted to stay much long
