100th Post... Pray for Houston....

I made it... & they said it wouldn't last... But I am here... 1.0.0.
First, I would like to say a prayer for everyone in the path of IKE... including my sister & her babies....
This brings back so many memories of Hurricane Alicia back in 1983...
Where we lost power for how many weeks? Had trees crashing into our house...
the most memorable thing about the storm was my them 42 year old mother
(which was REALLY OLD at that time) ...overdue with my baby sisiter....
Baby Alicia was born 3 days later.... Here is hoping there are some who will also receive blessings after the storm.....
Dang... I was planning a huge big OPRAH style give away for my 100th post... but with the Hurricane & anniversary of 9/11 this week... I am feeling sort of Blaaaaaaa... Crap... guess we will have to wait until the big 2 0 0---- for the Lax & Lefse give away... I know ya'll can hardly contain yourselves!
P.S. OH... because it is my 100th post...(big deal for me....) I would totally love & appreciate if you lurkers would leave me some comment love!
P.S.S Just heard my sister made it out of Houston before IKE hit.....

How scary. I didn't even know about Ike until I was reading the blogs today. Yes, I get my news from all of you.

Happy 100th post!

I'm getting near to it, I have a giveaway planned but it will take me time to put it together, so if I get to 99 and don't have it put together, I might stop blogging for a month or so til I get it done! lol

We've been watching the international feed from Fox News via Sky all day. Hubby has colleagues in Houston and we have adoption buddies spread throughout Texas. We definitely keep the entire area in our thoughts and prayers.

Happy 100! I'll be waiting for that giveaway at 200 :)

Happy 100.....funny, you don't look a day over 30!!! I'm glad your sister made it out safely. Unfortunately we are heading right into the path of Ike as he steams across land. But being from Illinois I'm used to the threat of tornados.

Happy 100! Looking forward to many more!

Praying that Ike goes back where he BELONGS...away from land.

Congrats on 100! BTW-I love lefse!
I have been blogging since February. I hit my 100th post with little fanfare. I tried to do one of those 100 things about me posts. But I petered out at about 43. And now I am rapidly approaching 200 posts. And I am trying to think of a way to celebrate. Or maybe I'll ignore those numbers and wait for my blogoversary. Or something!

And a levsa give away - how cool! We are Lutheran - with lots of people of Scandanavian descent. So many people have levsa recipes - but insist I need a levsa maker to do it right. Like I can get a levsa maker in Georgia...

I'm happy that Heidi and the kids left...we're hearing all kinds of reports of people who ignored the mandatory evacuations on the coast and stayed. They were calling 911 during the storm; needless to say they had to wait...

Happy 100th post!!! Way.to.Go!!! I certainly love to read all your posts...I get so excited when I see a new entry pop up on my reader...like its a personal message for me or something! Really, you should know your stalkers!!

Happy 100th post! So glad you proved whoever "they" are and made it.

So was your baby sister named after the hurricane? Or is that just a nickname y'all gave her?

One hundred posts, good for you because you don't look any different than you did thirty posts ago!

I showed up over here the first time when a call for prayers was sent in your direction so I headed on to Norway to check it out. Yes, I've been reading you in google reader and not coming out and leaving comments like a good girl should.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry but most of the blogs I read and most of the readers I have ... well, I could be their mother! Yes, even yours. So here is some motherly pearls of wisdom:

You just relax and have a nice one-hundredth, alright sweetie. Lord knows you deserve a day off your feet ... taking care of those adorable kids and that attractive husband of yours! And you forget about that give-away. You are good enough to have people show up on their own accord. No need to be givin' stuff out to people you don't even know. That is how the internet works. You give 'em sumpin for nuttin and den day be livin' in your basement.

How did I do ?

Oodles of hugs from rainy dreary Wisconsin ;)

Just saw the news, seems all is well except for an oak tree and 32 stories of windows gone. One death so far.I don't pray but I do watch the news...and sorry I didn't know that posting 100 was cause for celebration- I will do that now, with you in mind! Cheers!

Congrats on the big 100! Yeah! Imagine my comment with confetti, balloons falling, a band playing Celebrate in the background. And Lefse, Did you say Lefse? Oh my how I love it! It is one of our family traditions at Christmas. Luckily, my grandparents live up North where many Norwegians settled so they are able to get it. They freeze it and bring it to us by the box full. YUM! They actually sent it to me when I lived in Italy but it got moldy before I opened it. Oh well. That happens. Your sis and her family are in our prayers. Not much fun down there. Oh, you asked if you should change your layout. I like your current layout and it has fall colors but it's all up to you of course.

I understand your worries... my entire famíly other than mom, dad and sister all live in Nederland TX... right on the coast where it all hit. They have, of course, evacuated, but I fear what they will find when they go back.....
