Fridays Foto Finish Fiesta... Lil' Americans in Norway

After spending my entire morning TRYING to catch up current affairs in the U.S.
I thought this FOTO was FITTING for Candid Carrie 's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta... No?
... Little Americans in Norway.. (Oh goodness NO, they are not all mine...)
But we are a happy little family of Ex Pats living here in Norway.
The only English speaking News I am able to get at my house is the BBC... Not that the BBC isn't great... but for my American news... I prefer something... AMERICAN..

Thank goodness for www.youtube.com... I have been watching the speeches all morning.
I have a lot of thoughts... but I will save those for another post.

I guess...if I hadn't been listening to Politics 24/7 ...I would be missing the news but here it justs seems like you long for seem quiet from it for awhile. We have a good 2 more months of this!

I often watch the BBC channel here in the US, has a lot of the shows that I grew up with. PBS has British shows as well. I really wish they would show 'Some Mother Do Have 'Em' and some of the great NZ T programs like, 'Children Of The Dog Star' and 'Under The Mountain' ....

Hey you, Hungry butt!!!! .... First thought that played through my mind as I stood behind the woman in the GREY SWEATPANTS in line at the post office..... I ♥ Faces -Silhouette... this week is a little different.. we are able to choose one photo to enter... (darn...I had two...) but I think this is my fav.... Eva out at a beach near our home... I love the yellowish clouds & her hair blowing in the wind... She was jumping up & down on the rocks (safety first i n our house...LOL) One of the things I LOVE about Norway are the LONG summer days... this shot was taken about 7 pm... A visit to the ICE AGE....

Sunday... FUN-DAY, Another family day..... Because we had such nice weather, (never knowing how long it will last) we decided to take another family hike.... (2.5 hours....) around the be ach. It is funny, each week, each hike, I see changes in our family....less whining (on my part) & more time learning, enjoying our time together....Bjørn who usually gets irritated with all of my picture taking, is stopping to find things to take pictures of...appreciating colors, nature etc. Dane is less squeamish...touching & picking up all of sorts of things he finds along the hike.... Today we learned about Jettegryter or "Stone Pots" these huge rock formations from the ICE AGE .... pretty cool... these holes are formed by pebbles/gravel being aggitated by water, over thousand of years.... WOW..The holes on our local beach date back to 15,000 years.... the kids had a blast.... & wanted to stay much long
