I Love Faces - No Flash At I Love Faces the theme this week is - No Flash














Taking natural light photos is my FAVORITE... the hard part was choosing which picture of the kids I wanted to use....













This is my big child-Husband... the day wasn't as clear/nice as the photo above of Eva... but I liked the pink bubble gum & his blue eyes.. : )

Beautiful family - though I've said it before. :)

I'm just learning how to use my new lens to take manual photos w/o the flash... they always look so darn crisp!

Gorgeous photos!

I just got all caught up on your trip to Rome. It brought back many memories - Italy is just about the only exciting place I've ever been, and I plan to go back someday. Glad you had a great time, even with some of the financial drawbacks!

Oh these are so great! Her eyes are incredible. The little girl in the picture on the I haert faces button is the little sis of a girl I coach soccer to.

Oh, my! Those blue eyes are gorgeous! Such great photos! I love getting close ups of my kids. They make up for all the shots my husband takes of them from a distance.

Sunday... FUN-DAY, Another family day..... Because we had such nice weather, (never knowing how long it will last) we decided to take another family hike.... (2.5 hours....) around the be ach. It is funny, each week, each hike, I see changes in our family....less whining (on my part) & more time learning, enjoying our time together....Bjørn who usually gets irritated with all of my picture taking, is stopping to find things to take pictures of...appreciating colors, nature etc. Dane is less squeamish...touching & picking up all of sorts of things he finds along the hike.... Today we learned about Jettegryter or "Stone Pots" these huge rock formations from the ICE AGE .... pretty cool... these holes are formed by pebbles/gravel being aggitated by water, over thousand of years.... WOW..The holes on our local beach date back to 15,000 years.... the kids had a blast.... & wanted to stay much long...

Mortified Monday..... Lets all share our mortifying moments.....OK... anyone want to play? If so...get your moment posted, leave me message & I will link back to you... I just thought we could all start the week off with a little laugh.. & so much the better when it is at somebody else's expense..am I right or am I RIGHT ? I have a LOT of very MORTIFYING moments... most of them having to do with my oldest child...god bless him... he is so much like his momma (especially when it come s to the big ol ' mouth.) I remember being a child & my mother telling me that one day she hoped I had a child just like me... & guess what? I got him... OK, one of my MOST MORTIFYING MOMENTS took place about 4 years ago when I was very pregnant with Eva... Dane had just turned 5, & had wondered out of our front yard. I found him hanging out down the street at the neighbors house. Just picture .... the perfect little" nice" family... they were all in the driveway buil...

Your opinion matters....American, Norwegian or just Me?

Your opinion matters... I want you to be honest...seriously... I would even like all of the lurkers to comment..because I really..R E A L L Y want to know... is it Norwegian, American or just me? For 12 years Bjørn and I have had a disagreement... which I doubt we will E V E R... E V E R..agree on... The problem with being a multi-cultural family is this... anytime there is something you don't like... it is very EASY to say that something is VERY NORWEGIAN... or AMERICAN... but then again it could be just me.... There have been a lot of things I have disliked here(in Norway) which I have muttered under my breath ... "that is sooo Norwegian..." when in all actuality... it is just " soooo my husbands family...." (I am sure he thinks the same about Americans/my family....) OK the question is this..... What are your thoughts on people dropping in on you unexpected? Bjørn thinks it's KOSELIG ... (nice)... I think, its.... RUDE ... & it pisses me off....
