Double Whammy.... This is like a bad dream

Taken from the file of : "You have got to be FRIGGEN kidding me....."

Finally.. FINALLY... I felt like everything was going to be ok...(it will...I have faith..)

My brother in law asked to take the kids to the cabin from Thursday thru Sunday... OH yes... sigh of relief... I was going to be able to work & get everything caught up before I leave for home in 2 weeks...

I noticed over the weekend that it seemed like Eva had been giving me the "stink eye" she looked like she might be up for a game of Pirate....Argggg Matey... shiver me timbers.... (I have to make myself laugh to keep from bawling...AGAIN)

There was something a bit off.... but not so off, for me to worry about it...

I picked her up from daycare this afternoon & we were on the way to see daddy in the hospital when she got sick...REALLY sick all over the car...in my purse... all over the dashboard/radio... yes it was like something from the Exorcist.... Of course I am trying to get through traffic,,,turn the car around reassuring her everything was OK... when I noticed not only did she have the "stink eye" but it appeared that the entire side of her face was drooping.

I called Bjørn in the hospital... panicking ...a bit... we agreed I would take Eva home, get her cleaned up.. & see how she was feeling.... Maybe I was overreacting.... I have been under a lot of stress the last couple of weeks.

When my mother in law came by to drop Dane off...I asked her to look at Eva & see what she thought.... She thought that there looked like something was wrong with her.... I called my American Dr. friend... who is in the moment at home in Florida... BLESS HER...& she suggested that I take Eva into the emergency room.... right away

OH yes....I'mmmmmmmmmmm Baaaaaaaaaaaack.... can't you just see them all saying Oh Sh#t.... its that American lady...

Although scared out of my mind I did/have managed to hold it together...for Eva...

To make a VERY long story short... the Emergency Dr. sent us over to the hospital to meet with a specialist.... After several blood tests...& other tests... they think Eva probably has Lime Disease... the right side of her face is paralized... But we won't know until she has a spinal tomorrow morning.... (so unable to sleep,I will be up all night I am sure, looking for all of the information I can find...)

Yes, daddy will be operated same time as baby girl is going in for her spinal...

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

I am at this point just numb.......I will post as soon as I am able to catch my breath & know something.....

I thought my post for today was going to be another "Mortified Monday" Eva asked her grandmother this morning why she had a beard... But I guess I will have to save that for next Monday...

All positive thoughts/prayers once again needed & appreciated..... Love, T

you poor thing! you guys just can't catch a break. try not to google too much or spend too much time on webmd. you don't need to scare the crap out of yourself. tons of prayers and good vibes coming your way. hope little eva is doing better soon!

Oh Tressa - What an ordeal - I can't even believe it!!!

I hadn't seen any posting from you this weekend and just thought that you were taking a break to be with your family and hubby in the hospital.

My thoughts are with you - please vent away... vent, vent, vent. We're here with you in cyberspace spirit!

Best of luck with both of your loved ones procedures tomorrow. Please let us know how it all goes.

Oh my dear, I am so sorry. You seem to be getting more than your fair share right now.

Vent as much as you want, there are plenty of here to listen and offer virtual shoulders to lean on.

Oh, honey. I am SO sorry you are dealing with all this at once. Definitely agree with others - DON'T try to go looking for information yourself. Just hang in there and let the drs. evaluate things. I know it is so hard to do, but just hang in there. We will keep you in our prayers.

Holy Cow lady...when it rains it turns into a hurricane. Sheesh. I'm so sorry your little one is sick. YIKES. I'm anxiously awaiting news on what they discover.

Wow. This is not easy. I'm an American who lives overseas, and I know you just miss your mama when someone close to you gets sick. My husband once had emergency surgery in Moscow. I once had emergency surgery in Finland (having flown there on a teensy medevac plane from Kazakhstan). One son was attacked by a dog when he was just 11 months old and we were overseas. And my other baby boy was medevaced to the States when he was just 7 months old and a serious brain issue was discovered.

It's awful to watch your babies when they're sick, and it's worse when you aren't in "your" medical system.

I'll never forget when my baby was sick, I once got on the elevator in the hospital with two other women. One of them suddenly started bawling, and then apologized to the two of us. The other woman, a stranger to her, just hugged her and said "It's okay to cry, honey. Everybody cries when they're here."

So hang in there, but cry when you need to. Let the people who love you support you when you need it.

I ♥ Faces -Silhouette... this week is a little different.. we are able to choose one photo to enter... (darn...I had two...) but I think this is my fav.... Eva out at a beach near our home... I love the yellowish clouds & her hair blowing in the wind... I ♥ Faces - Reflection

REFELECTIONS .... To be considered as a winner for this week's challenge, your photo needs to have a reflection of a face in it (Kids - a child's face; Adults - an adult's face.) Be creative ~ the reflection can be in a mirror, glass, water....or any other way you can think of to show a reflection of the beautiful face you photograph! I know this isn't much of a FACE shot... but it is ME reflected in my daughters eye.... I was pretty excited when I saw this yesterday.... This was a so so shot of my daughter... taken at the beach on Sat. BEFORE I ♥ Faces,... I probably would have deleted the shot.... but when I looked closer... I saw my reflection.... I have seen so many cool shots others have done on I♥ faces, where I was just amazed by the subjects eyes... I never realized how easy it is to look in them & see something...
